My hair is so damaged will an expensive shampoo help?

how can i get my hair to be strong and silky again? will i have to grow it our or can i purchase an expensive product and will it help the breakage? If so what products would you reccomend?

thanks! My hair is so damaged will an expensive shampoo help?
my hair is the exact same way its so damaged and dry that it has stop growing due to the ends of my hair breaking off. my hair is to my shoulders and want to grow it so i have stopped straightening it and taking vitamins for my hair. I also use a breakage defence shampoo and conditioner and also a treatment, the shampoo, conditioner and the treatment i use is pantene pro v breakage defence i think it is very good and use lots of conditioner squeeze the amount of conditioner into your hand for about 3 seconds i also wash my hair with these 3 products every 3 days. also you can buy this coconut oil for your hair and its suppose to make your silky. and if your trying to grow your hair massage your head before you go to bed good luck i hope my hair will be longer and in better condition this time next year for when i start college x My hair is so damaged will an expensive shampoo help?
I would recommend a Malibu Treatment at your salon - it helps strengthen hair that has become straw-like. It restores texture, color and shine. A lot of swimmers do it because of the time they spend in and out of chlorine it damages their hair and turns it green sometimes.

It costs about as much as a straighten or a perm, but in the long run your expensive shampoos would cost about as much and not do as good of a job. I would do that and ask the stylist what type of prouct (not necessarily brand) to use.
firstly get any split ends cut off,

you dont need to use really expensive products,my hair was like this a few months ago so i brought charles worthington mineral hair spa rescue treatment (its a little expensive but theres plenty of cheaper treatments out there)

you wash and shampoo your hair normally using a shampoo for dry and damaged hair then put in the treatment and wrap your hair up in a warm towel and leave it for 10 mins, then wash it out.

you could also use a leave in conditioner and use VO5 hot oil treatment once a week

i did all that and my hairs really silky now =]

also if you use straightners then try and cut back on the amount you use them and use heat protection spray

I think you should try Nexxus Color Assure and Color Ensure shampoo and conditioner. This is a shampoo made for replenishing damaged hair. I highly recommend it. It really does work, its a little expensive like $10-$13 a bottle but it is well worth it. Just make sure you condition your hair every day.
omg my hair used to be like the same way a few years ago.

here is what i did to help fix it.

first you may want to go to a salon and get the ends trimmed. that way some of the damage is gone and you dont have to cut it to much. just get the ends.

a shampoo/conditioner i used to help my hair heal is Dove Intense Therapy Shampoo for accumulated damage.

get the shampoo and conditioner for this. it comes in a dark blue bottle and you can get it at walmart or anywhere really. use these everyday. also get Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. its a conditioner that you can use maybe every other day. these products are great. if you straighten or blow-dry your hair, you will want to get a heat protectant spray, such as Alberto VO5 Red Miracle Mist, or theres one by Tresemme i believe. make sure you spray this in your hair before using heat on it. it will protect your hair against the heat and make your hair feel better. if you use these products you will see good results in a few days. i could tell how much better my hair was the next day. it just felt great. good luck =]
i once bleached my hair from brown to blonde years ago and being a natural blonde my hair is very weak anyway. My hair was sooo damaged it broke off and felt like straw. Even my fringe broke off to halfway up my forehead. It was awful! I went to the hairdresser and she said the best thing I could do was to not wash my hair for two weeks, and only then I could only wash it once a week thereafter. It was hell, but I put my hair up in a ponytail everyday and obeyed, and it repaired itself nicely after a few months. Now, three years later, it is shiny and lovely again, but it took a while!
Im sure there are recommendations for shampoos, but you should also try to get a trim and a inexpensive salon deep conditioning treatment to start you off. They can also tell you what shampoos and conditioners to buy within your budget and to treat your hair specifically.
u need to get a proffesional shampoo and conditioner. if u r having alot of breakage then u need a hair mask and or hair treatments. my favorite r lanza and kerastase.look them up do ur homework and u will have beautiful results. ive been a hairstylist for over 12 years...trust!
Bed head worked wonders for me. Go to a Toni and Guy Salon if there is one in your area. Also they have these products alot in the mall.

If you cannot afford them, use Aussie.
Expensive things are not necessarily better than less expensive. I love Paul Mitchell! My stylist has recommended that for years. Ask a stylist in person and they can give you tips.

Good luck!!
try a hot oil treatment about every two weeks that'll be alot more helpful then an expensive shampoo...
cut ur hair short

start over growing it

use oil always b4 shampooing

its healthy

it works 2

no nothing will help ur hair its so hideous just go and hide in a corner and be emo and depressed cuz u should be. loser
