Does the colour shampoo eg red for red hair really work and are the more expensive brands better?

I dye my hair red and the colour fades really quick. Do the colour shampoos really work. Are the brands like Pantene any good and if not what brands are good.Does the colour shampoo eg red for red hair really work and are the more expensive brands better?
You dyed your hair with what kind of product? Is it labeled ';permanent color';, ';long-lasting'; or ';temporary';? Because it really depends on what kind you put in your hair. If dont want you hair to lose it's color, you should use products with ';permanent'; labeled on it. After that, if I were you, you should not use shampoo too often for a week or two. coz you really have to let the color really set in your hairstrands. same goes with perming. your can wash your hair with water only and use conditioner to make sure your hair doesn't get too stiff. I use Pantene Total care conditioner coz it really works well. Or L'oreal shampoo. If you use permanent color the only thing you would experience is that the color runs coz your hair grows longer.Does the colour shampoo eg red for red hair really work and are the more expensive brands better?
Well I麓ve got an Color protection shampoo for every color and it works. Also you have to use a deep conditioner my hairstylist told me. You just have to try it.
