Is expensive shampoo worth it?

My daughter recently went to a fancy hair place and they recommended that she stop using her regular brand and instead buy their expensive shampoo. Her hair is normally kind of dry looking and not so good. But after she got her haircut, it looked much shinier and better; until after she used her regular shampoo again.

So does this mean that I should go ahead and buy her the fancy shampoo, or might that be unnecessary? I'm very cheap and don't want to pay too much for shampoo. Is expensive shampoo worth it?
It's not the shampoo, but the fact that her hair ';got used'; to whatever you were buying. You can switch around cheaper brands and she will get the same effect. Is expensive shampoo worth it?
All salons will try and endorse their products.

The key is actually not in the shampoo, but the conditioner.

She can use a normal creamy shampoo like dove or pantene for dry hair and then you can spend a bit more on a good quality conditioner.

Good quality products have their pros's and con's.

They might be more expensive, but you'll find you can use less and it lasts longer.

But try the cheaper shampoo, better conditioner routine on her.

Hope it helps.
yes if she use it for like 2 months you will definetly see the difference but if its to expensive then its not worth it and if shes paying with her own money let her!
Use the fancy shampoo. It helps the hair and your daughter will be happy.
Yes salon brand shampoo makes your hair look 100 times better than regular shampoo, but you have to watch the prices alot of times they are outrageous
Yes, yes, yes! Did I say yes yet? Expensive shampoo is formulated differently and with gentler chemicals. Also, you can usually get more runs out of a bottle of salon shampoo then you can out of the same size bottle of cheap stuff. Expensive shampoo doesn't cause as much build up (hair dulling) and provides essential vitamins and nutrients to make hair healthy.
yeah. you cant buy good hair
Well if her hair look better I think you should get her the fancy shampoo
Only if your hair is damaged/colored. Most often any brand will work well, provided it is the right type of shampoo for your hair type.
I heard that shampoo doesnt matter, but the expensive conditioners are a lot better.
no need for the fancy one. just find out what exactly your daughter needs, volume, moisture, what not, and get a moderate priced shampoo. besides, it's all about the conditioner.
most is, but don't buy it at the salon. they jack up the price way too much. ulta is usually decent.
use aussie mega, it made my hair have more volume, shiney, and super smoothe!
If it has gold chunks inside, it is worth it
It depends of what expensive products she uses. Just because some are expensive doesn't mean they always work! I know that my shampoo is real expensive and it works reallyyy good! So i would say yes, use some expensive products on her hair. Since you said it does look dry!
It depends. I mean, if you've got enough money, why not?

Expensive shampoo and conditioner is really great for your hair. I've even heard that haircare products you buy in your grocery store can actually damage your hair.

Hope this helped=D
