Is it true that expensive salon shampoo is better for your hair than stuff you buy at drug stores/supermarket?

yes it does make a difference the shampoos that you get from the grocery contain alot of alcohol and wax like pantene why your hair feels so soft is that it is wax covering the lil divits in your hair not actually fixing anything just covering it up....while salon shampoo actually fixes your problem using high end ingredientsIs it true that expensive salon shampoo is better for your hair than stuff you buy at drug stores/supermarket?
Some salon shampoos arent all that expensive you can get two for one deals sometimes. you can also get salon shampoo from Sally Supply Company. com cheaper also www. Ives Rocher.com they have very good all natural shampoo and its always 2 for one price sometimes buy one get one free. Also yes salon shampoo is betterIs it true that expensive salon shampoo is better for your hair than stuff you buy at drug stores/supermarket?
I always bought the best until about 6 months ago I was on a trip with nothing but $1.99 Suave....I'm still using it! It has been great for my hair. I've saved myself lots of money and got great looking hair out of it as well.
The Suave Professionals line is awesome. They have their version of Biolage which to me is much better than the salon brands. As somebody else said in their answer, Pantene and the like aren't PH Balanced therefore they are much more harsh on your hair.
yes because the salon (professional) products are pH balanced for your hair and the supmarket stuff leaves a wax residue on your hair and they are not pH balanced
In terms of looks, yes. But your hair will be just as healthy with inexpensive shampoo.
I'm not sure but I do know that the cheap stuff is more watered down so you have to use more of it than the expensive stuff. As far as conditioners go, I definitly believe that the more expensive one's are better, just not sure about shampoo.
No its the ingredients in the shampoo that make the difference.
it depends on what brand you buy. some of the expensive shampoos made my hair feel the same way the cheap stuff did. pantene is good and they have a couple of new lines of hair products now. their leave-in conditioner spray is good too for the extra softness.
no it's so not true. you can always count on pantene pro v or herbal essences for silky shiny hair. But i gotta point out one thing though, the hair salons do have better styling products than anything you can get from the drug stores :]
