yes big time! Some cheaper shampoos do not have a good ph level and can damage your hair. Some will also leave a vinyl or waxy build up and make your hair dull, greasy, and or oily! I am a licensed cosmetologist and we actually did ph testing in school on cheap versus quality shampoos

I've heard that some chemicals in the cheaper shampoos dry out your hair with alcohol. I haven't had any luck doing that.





Try Bumble %26amp; Bumble. They're products work really good %26amp; they have a lot of diffent lines. They smell good too.

the ingredients...store bought shampoos are not the same ph as hair skin and nails, and they have a lot of detergents in them that will strip your hair and its color, just to name a few.


buy from a professional in a salon--there are MANY products in salons that are low priced to high priced, and there is one that will be in your budget for sure! i would suggest paul mitchell to you, its a great professional product for your hair and its very affordable, and as always, with prof. products they are concetrated so a little goes a long way.

Yes......although, I cannot always afford the ';good stuff';, so I try to use a good conditioner and detangler......also, if you don't color treat or perm your hair, you really don't need the expensive stuff.

yap.. there is really difference b/w the cheap one and the expensive one.. in my experience, before i used the $1 conditioner.. instead of the good one.. rite now, i use the tresemme which is maybe $5 .. and there are a lot of differences.. the tresseme conditoner that i use has a lot of mosturizer.. eventhough they have the same indrigents or something.. it still remains the differences.. =D dont be fool by ur parents.. ur parents just dont wanna spend a lot of money to buy u shampoo lolz.. 1 more thing.. money cant fool people..
Yes there is a difference you need to find the kind of shampoo for your type of hair like i use pantene pro-v, and when i use other ones they make my hair either dry or poofy!!
Yes. Salon shampoos cost more because they are more concentrated, and not full of junk. Shampoos like Pantene have wax in them, which coat the hair, making it feel smooth but at the same time suffocating your cuticle, which needs to be professionally repaired by deep conditioning, not temporarily patched. Also, be careful in buying top of the line products at HEB or grocery stores. Read on the label, if it says Guaranteed Only When Sold In Professional Salon, don't buy it, it's very possible it is counterfeit or very old and was sold because it was left on the shelf.
I learned that you can buy cheaper shampoo because the ingredients are very similar, if it's said to do the same thing like the more expensive cheap products, if you know what I mean?


however conditioner is worth paying a little more because there are more high quality moisturizers and more accually sticks to your hair. same thing with body wash and lotion, better to have the nice lotion.
